Terms and Conditions

  1. Quotations and Prices All quotations are valid for a period of 30 days from the date of issue. Prices quoted are inclusive of VAT, but do not include any additional costs or charges that may arise, such as delivery and installation fees.
  2. Payment Terms A deposit of 50% of the total order value is required before work can commence. The balance is due upon completion of the installation. We accept payment by bank transfer or cheque.
  3. Manufacturing Timeframes We will provide an estimated timeframe for manufacturing and installation upon receipt of the deposit. However, this is an estimate only and may be subject to change due to unforeseen circumstances, such as delays in the delivery of materials.
  4. Changes to the Order Any changes to the original order must be made in writing and may result in additional costs and/or delays in the manufacturing and installation process.
  5. Cancellations If the order is cancelled by the customer after work has commenced, any costs incurred up to the point of cancellation will be charged to the customer.
  6. Delivery and Installation Delivery and installation will be carried out by our team of skilled installers. Any additional costs for delivery and/or installation will be specified in the quotation. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that there is adequate access to the property and that the furniture can be safely installed.
  7. Warranty All bespoke furniture is covered by a 12-month warranty against defects in workmanship and materials. This warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, accidental damage, or misuse.
  8. Liability We will not be liable for any damage or loss caused as a result of the use of our furniture, including but not limited to damage to property, personal injury, or loss of income. Our liability is limited to the cost of repair or replacement of the furniture in question.
  9. Intellectual Property We retain all intellectual property rights in relation to our designs and drawings. Any reproduction, copying, or use of our designs without our permission is strictly prohibited.
  10. Ownership of Materials: All materials, including but not limited to timber, fixtures, fittings, and hardware, remain the property of Cedarwell Ltd until payment for the works has been made in full.
  11. Rectification of Snags: Any snags or issues with the furniture installation must be identified and reported to Cedarwell Ltd within 48 hours of completion of the works. We will only carry out one visit to rectify any issues reported.
  12. Repairs and Damages: Any repairs or replacements required due to damage caused to the furniture after installation, or as a result of misuse or neglect, will be charged at our standard rates.
  13. Protection of Installed Furniture: Unless otherwise quoted for, it is the responsibility of the main contractor to provide suitable protection for all installed furniture items, such as ply or correx, to prevent damage during the construction process.
  14. Additional Visits to Site: Any additional visits to the site required outside of the agreed scope of work will be chargeable at our standard rates, unless prior agreement has been made, or these visits have been itemised in the original quotation
  15. Dispute Resolution In the event of any dispute, we will seek to resolve the matter amicably in the first instance. If this is not possible, the matter will be referred to arbitration in accordance with the Arbitration Act 1996.
